September Events & Appearances

So many things start in September: harvest season, school, football, Autumn, New York Fashion Week; just to name a few. September is also the time for concerts, festivals, fairs, and other fun outdoor events; with the weather changing from stifling August heat & humidity to the pleasantly temperate, cool days of September. Many of these events include local Artisan vendors or are held exclusively for vendors. It's an exciting time of year filled with not just the joys & promises of new beginnings, but a time for 'fruitful harvest'--a time to reap the rewards of prior hardwork. September is a time of year where we all start to look forward to coming celebrations with loved ones, to ready ourselves for giving thanks & sharing our 'harvests'.

With the opening of a brand new studio / retail location, LMA Designs has had plenty to be thankful for recently. Truly, September will be a time for the culmination of many projects & much hard work. As it always does around this time of year, the schedule starts filling up with events and commissions--a blessing beyond words I am forever grateful for--and time starts flying even faster towards the end of the year. At the time this post was written, there are two huge dates on the September calendar for LMA Designs, with some smaller events in the works, and online exclusives currently beings planned--stay tuned for more regarding this sort of content, there is a livestream script in the works, tutorials to be written and filmed.

Events Confirmed for September 2023:

Artisan Showcase - Lee County Regional Fair
Sunday, Sept. 17th — 12:30 PM - 7:00 PM
507 N. 7th Street, Sanford, NC 27330
Located in the Commercial Exhibits Hall at the Lee County Fairground

An artistic exhibition and interactive demonstration; in collaboration with classically-trained portrait artist Leigh T. Shine. The Lee County Regional Fair is Lee County’s BIGGEST annual event. Every year, the Lions Club sponsors the event at the Lee County Fairgrounds, with all the classic favorites, such as rides and fried fair food, alongs with fun, interactive exhibits with tens of thousands of dollars given to exhibitors in awards & prizes. A true Southern favorite, you won’t want to miss this year’s fair.

Carolina IndieFest Fall 2023 - Presented by Hugger Mugger Brewing Company
Friday, Sept. 29th — 5:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Festival takes place in Downtown Sanford, in the general area surrounding Hugger Mugger's Brewery, with multiple stages & vendor areas.

A local favorite, that is full of fun for the entire family, the FREE TO ENTER music festival returns to its home in downtown Sanford for TWO MORE DAYS of music, beer, food, vendors with wonderful handcrafted goods, and so much more! Carolina IndieFest is the culmination of much hard work by Hugger Mugger Brewing, and the local musicians, artisans, food trucks, and other businesses who have sponsored this event; we would love for you to join the thousands of music & art fans who have made this event an annual tradition in the North Carolina Triangle.
